  1. First-time enrollment at UM: Once you have completed your administrative registration and verified your student email address, you will have access to your ENT (digital learning environment). On your ENT, you will see a “HANDY” icon, which will allow you to begin the process and schedule an appointment with the preventive medicine department.

    Re-enrollment at UM: Go to your ENT, click the “Academic Affairs” tab, then the “Handy” icon to submit your request

    . The request must be renewed each academic year by November 30.
  2. Schedule an appointment with the Preventive Medicine Department, particularly regarding accommodations for exams and coursework (scmpps-occitanie@umontpellier.fr or 04 34 43 30 79/04 11 75 93 93)
  3. Based on your doctor’s recommendations, you may be asked to meet with the Handiversité office(:handicap@umontpellier.frpour) to discuss accommodations for your studies.

Procedure to Follow in the Event of Temporary Inability to Practice (Injury, Accident, etc.)

Partial or total disability that allows the individual to participate in part of theTU of the sport and/or complementary activity

Building relationships with physical education teachers:

  • Submit a medical certificate stating that you are medically unable to participate in sports to your teachers;
  • Assessment procedures will be discussed with the practicum instructor.

Partial or total disability preventing the individual from participating for the entire duration of theTU in the specific sport and/or complementary activity

Submit a medical certificate stating that you are medically unable to participate in sports to the physical education instructors.
Contact the University of Montpellier’s disability services:

  1. First-time enrollment at UM: Fill out the online form. Re-enrollment at UM: Go to your digital workspace (ENT), select the “Academics” tab, then click the “Handy” icon to submit your request.
  2. Make an appointment with the Preventive Medicine Department ( scmpps-occitanie@umontpellier.fr or 04 34 43 30 79/04 11 75 93 93)
  3. Have the teacher sign the educational contract
  4. Return the signed contract to the Disability Services Office of the UFR STAPS

Please note:

  • Partial or total disability may require the implementation of an adapted and/or alternative practice;
  • Student attendance at physical education classes is mandatory; otherwise, the student will be considered absent and will receive a grade of 0/20. Any absence must be excused by the instructors.
