Situations of disability

  1. First registration at UM: Once you have completed your administrative registration and validated your student email address, you will have access to your ENT (digital work environment). On your ENT, you will see a "HANDY" tab, which will allow you to begin the process and make an appointment with the preventive medicine service.

    Re-enrollment at UM: Go to your ENT, click on the "Scolarité" tab and then the "Handy" icon to submit your request.

    The request must be renewed each academic year before November 30.
  2. Make an appointment with the preventive medicine service, particularly for exam and study accommodations (scmpps-occitanie@umontpellier.fr or 04 34 43 30 79/04 11 75 93 93).
  3. Based on your doctor's recommendations, you will be asked to meet with the Handiversité service:handicap@umontpellier.frpourto discuss adjustments to your studies.

Procedure to follow in the event of temporary inability to practice (injury, accident, etc.)

Partial or total disability allowing the practice of part ofTU the sports specialty and/or complementary activity

Getting closer to sports teachers:

  • Present a medical certificate stating that you are unfit to participate in sports to your teachers;
  • Assessment methods will be discussed with the practical instructor.

Partial or total disability preventing participation in the entire duration ofTU the sport specialty and/or complementary activity

Present a medical certificate stating that you are unable to participate in sports to the sports instructors.
Contact the disability services department at the University of Montpellier:

  1. First-time enrollment at UM: complete the online form. Re-enrollment at UM: go to your ENT, click on the "Scolarité" tab and then the "Handy" icon to submit your request.
  2. Make an appointment with the preventive medicine department ( scmpps-occitanie@umontpellier.fr or 04 34 43 30 79/04 11 75 93 93).
  3. Have the teacher sign the educational contract.
  4. Return the signed contract to the disability services department of the UFR STAPS.

Please note:

  • Partial or total incapacity may require the implementation of adapted and/or alternative practices;
  • Student attendance at sports classes is mandatory; failure to attend will result in the student being marked absent and receiving a grade of 0/20. All absences must be justified to the teachers.
