Would you like to join the STAPS faculty at Montpellier University?
Admission requirements vary depending on the level of study requested:

Please note:
- Administrative enrollment following a favorable opinion from an educational committee will be possible subject to obtaining the diploma currently being validated.
- Degrees issued outside Europe for candidates residing in Europe must be recognized following a degree equivalence orhttps://staps.edu.umontpellier.fr/scolarite/validation-des-acquis-vae-vap/(VES).
- Non-European students who hold a non-European degree and do not reside in Europe should consult the International Relations page (https://staps.edu.umontpellier.fr/international/).
- If you left university more than two years ago, or if you are currently employed or looking for work, you must contact the Continuing Education Department in addition to submitting your online application. The Continuing Education Department will handle your administrative registration (sfc-inscription@umontpellier.fr).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- All documents must be submitted only on the platforms.
admissions to thefirst year of a bachelor's degree (L1)
PARCOURSUP APPLICATION
Target audience: MANDATORY for new high school graduates, requests for reorientation without interruption of university studies
Applicants must confirm their acceptance of their admission offer on Parcoursup, otherwise they will lose their place. Without this confirmation, applicants will not be able to register administratively.
SPECIAL CASE
Target audience: Employees and job seekers who have not studied for more than two years: These candidates are eligible for continuing education.
Please submit your application by Monday, June 1, 2026, along with the following documents, to the UFR Administration (subject line: continuing education application 26/27 – name):
- Cover letter detailing your career plans
- Detailed resume
- Transcripts/diplomas obtained
- Experience related to physical activity and sports (certificates of training courses, coaching experience, licenses, other diplomas, etc.), level of personal sports practice (official document certifying the level)
At the same time, applicants must contact the continuing education department, which is available to provide quotes and finalize registration after notification of admission.
admissions to DEUST
Applications for admission to thefirst year of the DEUST program are made via Parcoursup for new high school graduates and those seeking to change majors.
Applications for admission to thesecond year of the DEUST program are made via eCandidat (blue database).
The link to access the eCandidat application will be available from Friday, May 1, 2026, to Monday, June 1, 2026.
Applications are reviewed online by the educational committees.
Final decisions will be available on the applications.
Applicants must confirm their acceptance of the favorable decision regarding their application on Parcoursup or eCandidat, otherwise they will lose their place. Without this confirmation, applicants will not be able to complete the administrative registration process.
SPECIAL CASE

ADMISSIONS to thesecond year of the Bachelor's degree (L2) for students who have passed the PASS
Target audience: Students at the University of Montpellier who have been accepted into PASS but have not applied on Ecandidat.
Complete the application and send it to the UFR Administrationby August (date to be specified later) (subject line: PASS 26/27 application – name).
Admission tothe second orthird year of a bachelor's degree (L2–L3) orthe second year of a master's degree ( M2)
All applications for admission to the second year of a bachelor's degree, the third year of a bachelor's degree, or the second year of a master's degree must be submitted online via the eCandidat application (blue base).

ADMISSIONS to thethird year of the Professional Bachelor's Degree (LPro GDOSSL)
All applications for admission to LPro will be made online via the eCandidat application (red base).

Applications are reviewed online by the educational committees.
Final decisions will be available on the application.
Candidates must confirm their acceptance of their eCandidat admission offer, otherwise they will lose their place. Without this confirmation, candidates will not be able to register administratively.
admissions to Master's 1 (M1)
If you hold (or are preparing to obtain) a national bachelor's degree or another degree that allows you to enter a master's program, you must use the new national application platform to apply for the first year of a national master's degree.
As the admission procedure for the first year of the Master's program is national, you will find all the necessary information on theMon Master website.
Check the University of Montpellier's Master's program page regularly to stay informed about the application process.
Some applications will require you to provide the document "Notice of Continued Studies" when you apply on the MonMaster platform. This document may be required for your application to be accepted. Please complete the section that applies to you and return the form to the following address: staps-master@umontpellier.fr before March 2, 2026.
