Orientation/Reorientation
orientation
During your senior year, you can receive personalized guidance on your plans to study at the UFR STAPS.
- You can contact the guidance counselors at your high school.
- A team of information and advisory staff from SCUIO-IP at the University of Montpellier is here to assist you.
To help you choose your course of study, the C3D has created acareer guidancequestionnaire. It is anonymous and does not commit you to anything. It is provided to help you think about your post-high school plans.
First-year STAPS students who have not successfully completed their first semester and are struggling in the second semester receive support to help them either change their major or repeat the year.
- Step 0: Release of the results of the make-up exam session
- Step 1: Schedule an appointment for an individual interview at the UFR STAPS reception desk (you will be provided with further details in due course)
- Step 2: Individual meeting with a guidance counselor ==> Recommendation for or against repeating the grade or changing the student’s academic track
- Step 3: Registration for first-year students repeating the year
reorientation
The program for changing majors is available only to first-year students enrolled in a higher education institution who wish to switch programs between the first and second semesters, if they realize that the program they are enrolled in does not meet their expectations or align with their future plans.
Any student facing difficulties is eligible for an individual meeting to discuss their personal goals and academic path at key milestones in their academic journey (specifically at the end of the first year of the Bachelor’s program, at the end of the third year of the Bachelor’s program, and at the end of the first year of the Master’s program). These students are identified by the academic advising staff and invited to a meeting. Participation in these interviews is mandatory.
