Students with special status

Update: November 14, 2024

salaried students

Student employee status is granted to students who work during the academic year. The conditions under which this status is granted and the conditions of application are set out in this document. This status must be applied for when you register, using the "Request for salaried status" form. It is granted by the Commission Pédagogique et d'Équivalence (Pedagogical and Equivalence Commission) after studying the student's file and project, and upon application to the Schooling Department.

Students with employee status can benefit from :

  • Exemption from attendance requirements for all courses. However, insofar as their activities allow, they may choose to attend all classes as normal.
  • The possibility of replacing the Continuous Assessment (CC) with a Terminal Assessment (CT), when their activities prevent them from taking all the courses that make up a course assessed by CC. The assessment procedures must be specified in a teaching contract for the year or each semester, no later than 7 days after receipt of the favorable notice. In the absence of a response from the student, he/she will be considered as taking part in the CC.

When registering at the University of Montpellier, athletes wishing to obtain the status of high-level sports student must, in order to benefit from the provisions described in the contract, make an online application on the University of Montpellier website and submit the supporting documents, together with the answers to the high-level sports student application questionnaire, to their academic department.

Once you have been awarded "Sportif de Haut Niveau" (SHN) status, the school will send you an educational contract to be completed and returned within 15 days.

Without this signed and validated pedagogical contract, you will not be able to benefit from the study and/or exam accommodations offered to SHN.
