Research

The research conducted at the UFR STAPS in Montpellier is multidisciplinary. It covers complementary fields such as biomechanics, physiology, neuroscience, psychology, and social sciences, as applied to the fields of sports and physical activity, health, and motion and digital technologies. The faculty members at the UFR conduct their research within the following six units:

This scientific foundation forms the basis of the UFR STAPS’s integration of education and research. A significant portion of the coursework is taught by active researchers, and our master’s programs include courses specifically designed to introduce students to and engage them in research. All of our programs thus allow students to continue their studies toward a Ph.D., in direct continuity with the work conducted within the UFR’s research units.
