Research

The research conducted at the UFR STAPS in Montpellier is multidisciplinary. It covers complementary fields such as biomechanics, physiology, neuroscience, psychology, and social sciences, applied to the fields of sport and physical activity, health, and movement and digital technologies. The UFR's faculty members conduct their research activities within the following six units:

This scientific foundation forms the basis of the UFR STAPS's training and research support. A significant portion of the teaching is carried out by active researchers, and our master's programs include courses specifically dedicated to introducing students to research and teaching them how to conduct it. All of our programs thus allow students to continue their studies toward a doctorate, in direct continuity with the work carried out within the UFR's research units.
