Research is an essential part of the university system. At the UFR STAPS, university courses are backed up by the research activities of the laboratories. This does not mean that only what the laboratories produce is taught at the university. Above all, it means that teaching is carried out by active, productive researchers, integrated into quality laboratories.

UFR STAPS lecturers carry out their research activities in four laboratories, covering a wide range of scientific fields. These laboratories are recognized as leading-edge research centers in fields as diverse as human movement, health, disability and neuropsychology.

The UFR STAPS also includes a research and technological development center in the field of human movement sciences. This innovation center includes technological platforms, an incubation site for start-ups, as well as reception areas, conferences and seminars. It is home to the Euromov Digital Health In Motion research unit.
