Certificates of Completion

  • Certificates of completion are automatically issued on your digital learning platform following the diploma evaluation committees, pending the availability of the diplomas.

Degrees 2000–2025

  • All DEUST, bachelor's, and master's degrees are available.

Procedures for Revoking Diplomas

In-Store Pickup

Please check the availability of your diploma (above) before coming in.
You will need to bring a form of identification.

The diploma pickup service is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Shipment by mail

If you are unable to come in person, you can request to have the form mailed to you.
In that case, you must fill out and sign the form


You must attach the following to this completed and signed document:

  • A copy of your identification document (ID card or passport)
  • Proof of address (tax bill, EDF bill, etc.)
  • Cardboard envelope, 23x32 cm:
    • Postage paid at the current rate, corresponding to a 100-gram registered mail item with return receipt requested.
    • Made out to your name and address
    • A fully completed registered mail form with return receipt requested.

Sending a diploma through the French Embassy or the French Consulate General

Graduates living abroad must download the document:

  • Fill out the form correctly and sign it (be sure to include the exact address of the French Embassy or Consulate General closest to your home)
  • Attach a photocopy of an ID
  • Please email everything to this address: staps-diplomes@umontpellier.fr

Your diploma will be sent to the French Embassy or the French Consulate General nearest to your home, via the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This embassy or consulate will contact you as soon as it receives your diploma.


Power of Attorney

To authorize a third party to pick up your diploma on your behalf, please fill out the form

The applicant must bring the following:

  • The completed and signed form
  • Original ID + photocopy
  • A photocopy of your ID

Deug – Master's Degree

In accordance with Article 8 of Circular No. 2014-0018 dated October 23, 2014

"The two intermediate degrees—the Diploma in General University Studies (DEUG) and the master's degree—are awarded to students who apply for them."

To do so, you must download the document below, fill it out correctly, sign it, and send it to the address indicated on the document.

PLEASE NOTE: It takes several months to issue a diploma (printing the diploma, signature by the President of the University of Montpellier, and signature by the Regional Education Office). To avoid causing you undue delay, we can provide you with a certificate of graduation (a document with the same legal standing as the diploma).

If you have access to your digital learning platform

You can download certificates of completion for the past year and previous years from the University of Montpellier.

If you no longer have access to your digital learning platform

For academic years prior to 2021/2022, a certificate of completion may be issued upon the student’s request.

You can request it by email by submitting the form


duplicate

A duplicate diploma can only be issued if the original diploma has been destroyed, lost, or stolen.
