Studying at UFR STAPS

What is the UFR STAPS?

In France, the UFR STAPS are faculties of sciences and techniques of physical activities and sports. STAPS students are trained in a wide range of professions related to sport and physical activity.

What do we learn?

At Montpellier's UFR STAPS, training is multidisciplinary, combining biological sciences (neurosciences, physiology) and human sciences (psychology, sociology, history, anthropology). A large part of the time spent by STAPS students is devoted to sports activities: athletics, basketball, badminton, dance, climbing, soccer, gymnastics, handball, judo, bodybuilding, swimming, rugby, tennis, triathlon, sailing and volleyball.

Allcourses are taught in French, so international students must have a B2 level to be successful.
