Master's Degree in Teaching, Education, and Training – Physical Education and Sports

The main purpose of the MEEF-EPS master's degree is to prepare students for a career as a physical education teacher in secondary education. This master's degree is part of the reform known as the "master's degree for teaching professions." As such, this master's degree has three objectives:

  • Preparation for the recruitment exam (CAPEPS), which students must take during their first year of the master's program
  • Vocational training for future teachers
  • Training in and through research.

The program teaches students to master the tools needed to analyze and evaluate educational and teaching contexts. It equips them with the skills necessary to create conditions conducive to motor learning, to engage participants, and to contribute to their physical and athletic education.

The MEEF-EPS master's degree is organized by the EPS department of the UFR STAPS, as part of the Institut National Supérieur du Professorat et de l'Education de l'Académie de Montpellier (INSPE).
