Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports
Master’s in Teaching, Education, and Training – Physical Education and Sports
The primary purpose of the MEEF-EPS master’s program is to prepare students for careers as physical education teachers in secondary schools. This master’s program is part of the reform known as the “master’s degree requirement” for teaching professions. As such, the program has three objectives:
- Preparation for the CAPEPS recruitment exam, which students must take during their first year of the master’s program
- Professional training for future teachers
- Training in and through research.
The program equips students with the skills to analyze and evaluate educational and teaching contexts. It provides them with the essential skills to create an environment conducive to motor learning, to encourage participant engagement, and to contribute to their physical education and sports training.
The MEEF-EPS master’s program is organized by the Physical Education Department of the UFR STAPS, in conjunction with the National Institute for Teacher Training and Education of the Montpellier Academy (INSPE)
