Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports (MEEF-EPS)

Master's in Teaching, Education, and Training – Physical Education and Sports

The primary purpose of the MEEF-EPS master’s program is to prepare students for careers as physical education teachers in secondary schools. This master’s program is part of the reform known as the “master’s degree requirement” for teaching professions. As such, this master’s program has three objectives:

  • Preparation for the CAPEPS recruitment exam, which students must take during their first year of the master's program
  • Professional Training for Future Teachers
  • Education through and based on research.

The program equips students with the skills to analyze and evaluate educational and teaching contexts. It provides them with the essential skills to create conditions conducive to motor learning, to foster participant engagement, and to contribute to their physical education and sports training.

The MEEF-EPS master’s program is organized by the Physical Education Department of the UFR STAPS, as part of the National Higher Institute for Teaching and Education of the Montpellier Academy (INSPE)
