Training and Research Committee (CFR)
The Training and Research Committee (CFR) is the body that supports and guides the decisions of the UFR STAPS in matters of research, in relation to training. The CFR's proposals must then be approved by the Management Board.
Chaired by the Deputy Director of Research, the CFR brings together (elected) faculty members, educational representatives, (elected) doctoral students, and external figures.
Its missions are:
To ensure the link between research and training;
To propose recruitment priorities;
To support research projects carried out within the UFR.

Committees for the validation of prior learning (VAE)
The Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) panels are able to award applicants all or part of a degree by validating their professional experience. This makes it possible to have experience and skills acquired outside of university recognized in order to obtain the corresponding degrees.
The first step in submitting an application for Validation of Prior Learning is to contact the Continuing Education Department at the University of Montpellier.

high-level commission
The High-Level Commission is responsible for reviewing applications from students who wish to obtain High-Level Athlete Status. These proposals are then reviewed and approved by a central commission at the university level. Currently, around 100 students benefit from this status at the UFR STAPS.
The commission is also responsible for monitoring these athletes, drawing up their schooling contracts, and identifying their specific needs.

active guidance committee
The active guidance committee is responsible for assisting high school and college students in their career choices. Its responsibilities go well beyond the official active guidance protocol for high school students. Originally created to provide guidance to first-year college students who were failing, it now performs a variety of tasks:
- Informing high school students about training opportunities in sports and physical activity professions
- Guidance for students who have failed at the end of a university semester
- Guidance for students at key stages of their academic career (transition from L3 to M1, transition from M1 to M2)
