Message from Prof. Angèle Chopard, Director of the STAPS Department – April 15, 2020
Dear Students,
This week is a vacation week for you and your professors, who have been instructed not to assign any homework during this time. This gives you a little freedom, but also time to study for your exams. The lockdown period continues—for now, until May 11—and we have confirmation that we will no longer be able to hold in-person classes at the university, which means exams will be administered exclusively online. We are currently working on the changes we will be making to certain exam sessions. As a general guide and pending a more precise schedule, the exams are expected to take place between late May and late June. We will therefore get back to you as soon as possible with a detailed exam schedule for each program, outlining the dates, times, and procedures for each exam.Physical education instructors will soon provide details regarding the assessment for specialized physical education courses and complementary physical education courses. Tests will also be administered to familiarize you with the procedures for taking remote exams and to verify that you have the technical capabilities to complete these exams. In this context, the entire management team thanks you in advance for your understanding, dedication, and organization. Best regards,
Message from Prof. Angèle Chopard, Director of the STAPS Department – April 21, 2020
Hello, everyone.
First of all, the STAPS Department administration hopes you are all in good health.
As you are now aware, the circumstances surrounding the health crisis mean that we can no longer hold in-person classes for the remainder of the academic year. Uncertainties regarding the conditions for reopening remain. In order to ensure that none of you are disadvantaged and to protect everyone’s health,we have decided to hold the end-of-semester exams remotely, as well as the make-up exam session, if necessary.
Accordingly, a detailed schedule of the events will be provided to you by late April—early May at the latest—with times that cannot be changed regardless of where you live (Montpellier time).
You will also be invited totake a short test a few days before the exams toverify that the tools being used are working properly. However, until then, it is your responsibility to ensurethat you have the necessary equipment and a reliable internet connection totake your exams.
If you are experiencing any difficulties, please let us know right away so that we can assist you.
Some of you have already contacted us, and we will address your requests on a case-by-case basis.
I wish you all the best of luck with your studying, and please take good care of yourselves.
Best regards.
