Conference/debate: Dance in physical education

The Education and Motor Skills Department of the UFR STAPS in Montpellier, in partnership with the university's art and culture department, invites you to attend a round table discussion on the exciting (but thorny) question of the place of dance in physical education. 

Carole Sève (Inspector General of National Education in Physical Education), Sandrine Rey-Pouget (art-dance coordinator teacher in the academy), Jackie Taffanel (choreographer and teacher), Sylvain Ferez (researcher and teacher) and the choreographers/dancers from the Sauf Le Dimanche dance company (Emilie Buestel and Marie Doiret) will help us to better understand the challenges of teaching dance, the obstacles encountered in the field, and to consider ways of encouraging this practice in schools.
