FAQ Transition to skills blocks

What's the difference between a block, TU, teaching? Which elements of my training program are graded? Carry ECTS credits? Are certified?

Grades can be awarded for courses, grouped into TU. TheTU grade is the average grade for these courses.

Only TU and semesters carry ECTS credits.

Skills blocks are certified. They carry neither grades nor ECTS. They will give rise to a statement of skills when the diploma is awarded.

I'm a repeat student. Which elements of training validated last year can be validated by correspondence this year?

Only one TU can be retained (ECTS-bearing). No teaching (not carrying ECTS) can be retained.

Only a TU validated as such on last year's course syllabus can be retained and give rise to the validation by correspondence of one or more TU this year(cf. correspondence table xxxxx).

A validated semester (by compensation or not) is retained in the event of a repeat.

My study contract, available via my ENT in the IP thumbnail, lets me know which TU courses I still have to validate.

I'm a repeat student. How are the TU that I validated last year taken into account this year?

The mark obtained for a validated TU is automatically transposed to the correspondingTU (or TU) this year, as indicated in the correspondence table(cf. xxxxxx). This grade is therefore included in the calculation of averages according to the current year's compensation rules.

My study contract, available via my ENT in the IP thumbnail, lets me know which TU courses I still have to validate.

I'm repeating a year and I've passed a semester by taking advantage of compensation between certain TU courses. How are these TU taken into account this year?

A semester validated by offsetting the TU that make it up remains validated.

TU semester courses that have not been individually validated (grade below 10/20) are not retained outside this semester.

My study contract, available via my ENT in the IP thumbnail, lets me know which TU courses I still have to validate.

I'm applying for an equivalence or a VAC for a TU. How are the TU acquired in this way taken into account in the validation of the different stages of my training?

When a TU is acquired by equivalence, no mark is associated with it (only the result: "acquired"). It cannot therefore be used to calculate offsets with other TU.
