Day dedicated to safety before the winter season

In order to raise awareness among winter and mountain sports enthusiasts about the risks associated with snow and avalanches, theOccitanie regional committee of French alpine and mountain clubs(CROFFCAM) organizes an annualsafety day before the winter season. Previously held in Tarbes and Toulouse, this event will take place forthe first time in Montpellier on November 23 at the UFR STAPS.

Organized by CROFFCAMin collaboration with the National Association for the Study of Snow and Avalanches(Anena) and theFrench Alpine Club of Montpellier, the Snow and Avalanche Safety Day (JSNA) is a full day of information and discussion on the dangers of snow and avalanches, as well as safety and prevention techniques to make practitioners more autonomous and responsible.

Since mountains are a dynamic environment, it is crucial to regularly update your knowledge. This event is a great opportunity for all mountain enthusiasts, regardless of their level, to familiarize themselves with best safety practices.
