TU SSMA 2026

As part of the “Water Rescue and Safety” (SSMA) course (TU) offered by the UFR STAPS, approximately 100 children from the Montpellier metropolitan area participated in water confidence sessions. Twelve students from the UFR STAPS received training in water safety instruction as part of the SSMA “TU ” program.

This supplementary training program enables third-year bachelor's degree students to develop additional skills related to the profession of lifeguard, while enriching their career path through hands-on field experience.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the French Ministry of Education and the Montpellier Metropolitan Area for their trust and support in implementing this program, which has been particularly enriching for both the students and the participating children.
