TOEIC 2026 – Department of Sports Science
The TOEIC allows you to assess your general and professional English proficiency through a test recognized by many companies and to demonstrate this proficiency to employers.
The STAPS Department offers the TOEIC testto its students as well as to students at the University of Marseille . The certificate obtained is valid for two years in the country where the test was taken.
The purpose of this certification is to enable students to demonstrate their language proficiency in order to gain admission to certain programs (such as master’s degrees) and to facilitate their entry into the workforce. The test assesses English proficiency (CEFR levels A1 through C1).
The minimum level frequently required by companies and educational institutions is B2 ( independent-advanced user),
TOEIC score of 785 points
The TOEIC test is a two-hour multiple-choice exam consisting of 200 questions divided into two sections:
- Listening Section: The Listening Section assesses your ability to understand spoken English. It consists of four parts and includes 100 questions administered via CD. You will be asked to answer questions based on a variety of statements, questions, short conversations, and brief speeches recorded in English.
Total duration: approximately 45 minutes. - Reading Section: The Reading Section consists of three parts designed to assess your level of comprehension of written English. You will read various documents and answer 100 questions at your own pace, based on the content of the documents provided.
Total duration: 75 minutes.
Three sessions are scheduled:
Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
There are two ways to take the test
- ONLINE FORMAT: Student rate: €75 (check); please submit the registration form and a photocopy of your student ID to Ms. Véronique Parra’s office at 11st floor of Building A at the UFR STAPS 15 days before the session date.
- PRINT VERSION: Student rate: €70 (check); please submit the registration form and a photocopy of your student ID to Ms. Véronique Parra’s office at 11st floor of Building A at the UFR STAPS 15 days before the exam date.
Please come to the exam center (UFR STAPS SIS 700 AV DU PIC ST LOUP, 34090 MONTPELLIER, BUILDING A – LECTURE HALL A) with a national ID card, your student ID, pencils (B or HB), and an eraser.

- Technical requirements
- Browser: the latest version of Google Chrome.
- PC or Mac with a webcam.
- Required operating system: Microsoft Windows 8.1 or later, or Mac OS X 10.11 or later.
- Phone requirements: Minimum version iOS 8.0 or Android 4.1. Your phone must be connected to Wi-Fi.
- Internet connection: We strongly recommend using a wired connection for greater stability.
Audio system: You must use your computer's speakers. Headphones and earbuds are not permitted, and using them will result in your score being invalidated.
