TOEIC 2026 - UFR STAPS

TOEIC enables you to assess your level of general and professional English using a test recognized by a variety of companies, and to promote this level to employers.

The UFR STAPS offers its students and UM students the opportunity to take the TOEIC test. The certificate obtained is valid for 2 years in the country where the test was taken.

The aim of this certification is to enable students to enhance their language skills to gain access to certain studies (Master's) and promote their professional integration. The test assesses a level of English (CEFR A1 to C1).

The minimum level frequently required by companies and educational establishments is B2 (advanced independent user),
TOEIC score 785 points

The TOEIC test is a two-hour multiple-choice test with 200 questions divided into two sections:

  • Listening section: the Listening section assesses your level of understanding of spoken English. It consists of four parts and 100 questions administered by CD. You will be asked to answer questions based on a wide range of statements, questions, short conversations and recorded speeches in English.
    Total time: approx. 45 minutes.
  • Reading comprehension section: the Reading comprehension section consists of three parts to assess your level of understanding of written English. You will read different documents and answer 100 questions at your own pace, based on the content of the documents provided.
    Total time: 75 minutes.

Three sessions are scheduled:

Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

There are two formats for taking the test

  1. ONLINE format: Student fee: €75 (cheque), registration form and photocopy of student card to be handed in at Véronique Parra's office on 1st floor of Bâtiment A, UFR STAPS, 15 days before the session date.
  2. PAPER format: Student fee: €70 (cheque), registration form and photocopy of student card to be handed in to Mme Véronique Parra's office on 1st floor of Bâtiment A, UFR STAPS, 15 days before the exam date.

    Come to the exam center (UFR STAPS SIS 700 AV DU PIC ST LOUP, 34090 MONTPELLIER, BÂTIMENT A- AMPHI A) with a national identity card, your student card, pencils (B or HB) and an eraser.

  • Technical prerequisites
    • Browser: latest version of Google Chrome.
    • PC or Mac with webcam.
    • Operating system required: Microsoft Windows 8.1 or higher, or Mac OS X 10.11 or higher.
    • Phone requirements: minimum version iOS 8.0 or Android 4.1. Your phone must be connected to Wi-Fi.
    • Internet connection: we strongly recommend a wired connection for greater stability.

Audio system: you must use your computer's speakers. Headphones and earphones are not permitted, and their use will result in score cancellation.
