A Message from the Director
Welcome to the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education (STAPS) at the University of Montpellier, one of the largest in France with over 2,200 students. Our department offers a diverse range of programs, including 4 Bachelor’s degree tracks, 3 Master’s degree tracks (including 7 specialized tracks), 2 DEUSTs, 1 professional Bachelor’s degree, and numerous DU programs (university diplomas, each dedicated to the study of a specific and unique aspect).

Apprenticeship Tax
The apprenticeship tax is a mandatory tax paid by companies each year.
It helps fund the expenses required to develop technical and vocational education and apprenticeships. The tax amounts to 0.68% of the gross payroll calculated for the previous calendar year.
