English Language Certification
Legal Framework / Ministerial Decree
According to the Decree No. 2020-398of April 3, 2020, and theorder of April 3, 2020, students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Professional Bachelor’s, and IUT programs must pass an English language proficiency exam to obtain their degree.
Objectives
The purpose of this certification is to help students showcase their language skills to enhance their employability. The test assesses English proficiency (from A1 to C2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR).
Since no student can fail the test, it’s in your best interest to take it very seriously so you can best showcase your English skills for the future.
In practice
At the UFR STAPS, we are doing everything we can to ensure that every student is prepared for this exam, which will take place from May 16 to July 10, 2022.

- The University of Montpellier has set the period from May to June 2022 for all its departments.
- Cost of certification: fully covered by the University.
- The exam is administered remotely/entirely online

Tous les étudiants doivent absolument suivre les informations données par PeopleCert pour réaliser la certification d’anglais obligatoire. Attention pour ce connecter il faut absolument utiliser l’adresse mail de l’université (pas d’email personnel).
