Test of English for International Communication

The TOEIC is a certification that measures your proficiency in English in everyday and professional international situations.

A tangible achievement that you can highlight in your academic career, job applications, and future job search.

Why take the TOEIC while in school?

What does the certification assess?

Depending on the test format chosen, the TOEIC assesses 2 or 4 English language skills.

    • Oral Expression
    • Written Expression

TOEIC Listening & Reading

The TOEIC Listening & Reading test assesses your listening and reading comprehension.

  • Listening – 45 minutes
    • 100 listening comprehension questions, divided into four sections.
  • Reading – 75 minutes
    • 100 reading comprehension questions, divided into three sections.
  • In total
    • 200 multiple-choice questions to be completed in about 2 hours.

Understanding Your Score

Your TOEIC score allows you to assess your English proficiency level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 to C1.

As a point of reference, a B2 level corresponds to 785 points on the TOEIC Listening & Reading test.

However, the expected score may vary depending on the program, institution, or career path.

Take the TOEIC at the UFR STAPS

1. Paper-based TOEIC

  • Price: 74 €
  • The session will be held in person at the UFR STAPS, in Lecture Hall A.
  • Dates
    • Saturday, December 12, 2026
    • Saturday, February 6, 2027

2. TOEIC Online

  • Price:
    • €88 (for 2 skills)
    • €160 (for 4 skills)
  • The exam is administered remotely, from the candidate's home, on a computer.
  • Dates
    • Saturday, December 12, 2026
    • Wednesday, January 20, 2027
    • Saturday, January 23, 2027
    • Saturday, February 6, 2027
  • Technical Requirements: To take the TOEIC online, you must have:
    • the latest version of Google Chrome;
    • a PC or Mac equipped with a webcam;
    • Windows 8.1 or later, or Mac OS X 10.11 or later;
    • a phone running at least iOS 8.0 or Android 4.1, connected to Wi-Fi;
    • A stable Internet connection. A wired connection is strongly recommended;
    • speakers built into the computer.
  • Headphones and earbuds are not permitted. Using them will result in the score being voided.

To participate in a session, you must complete the registration form.

For Test Takers – TOEIC Online

  • To participate in one of the sessions offered, you must complete the registration form attached to this email.
  • Application deadline: Thursday, October 22, 2026.
  • Please submit your complete application by this date to Ms. Véronique Parra's office (Building A, 1st floor—UFR STAPS).

For Test Takers – Paper-Based TOEIC

  • Application deadline: 3 weeks before Session 1 or 2.
