The National Police is recruiting future police commissioners

Do you hold a master’s degree (or equivalent), are you under 45 years old, and are you looking to pursue a career with significant responsibility, including supervisory and managerial duties?

The job involves, among other things:
- Supervise and lead teams;
- Organize and manage a department;
- Demonstrate attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to monitor and control;
- Work in coordination with local authorities and various security stakeholders;
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of measures to combat crime and insecurity.
Registration is open until October 19, 2026
First exams: January 18–20, 2027
Over the course of one’s career, it is possible to advance to positions corresponding to various ranks: police commissioner, divisional commissioner, chief commissioner, etc.
Net monthly pay as of January 1, 2026:
- Île-de-France: from €3,420 at the start of one's career to €8,395 at the end of one's career;
- Province: from €3,252 at the start of one’s career to €8,131 at the end of one’s career.
